David and Mindi Jones
In 2003 David and Mindi relocated to Silicon Valley in order to establish the ministry of Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) at Stanford University. Prior to assisting her husband with RUF at Stanford, Mindi spent nine years in commercial real estate, serving over seven years with GE Capital Real Estate as an asset manager. Mindi received her Bachelor of Business, with a minor in finance, while on athletic scholarship to Oklahoma City University. David is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and holds professional member status with Stanford Associated Religions. He received his M.Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary and graduated from the University of Tennessee magna cum laude with a B.A. in philosophy. In addition, David served on staff with Park Cities Presbyterian Church as Senior High Director for four years in Dallas, Texas. Both David and Mindi are actively involved in Grace Presbyterian Church located in Palo Alto, CA.
David Birnie
David is coming to Stanford for his second year with RUF after graduating from Wake Forest University in North Carolina in May 2008 where he majored in Business and minored in International Studies and Journalism. David was born in Newport Beach, CA and lived in Irvine for 10 years before moving to Atlanta, GA for middle school and high school. While the east coast has a lot of good things going for it, David is glad to be back in California.

He has spent the past few summers working at a whitewater rafting company in Colorado , where has developed an enthusiasm for outdoor activities such as rock climbing, hiking, biking (both mountain and road), jogging, kayaking, and everything else. He loves to play a variety of sports: from basketball, ultimate frisbee, and beach volleyball, to golf, squash, and slack lining. He loves to try things he’s never tried before, but most of all, he loves meeting people he’s never met before, so don't hesitate to email him at dbirnie@ruf.orgmailto:dbirnie@ruf.org?subject=ruf%20websiteshapeimage_11_link_0
Chelsea Plummer
Chelsea is beginning her first year with RUF @ Stanford after graduating from Northwestern University this past May with a Bachelors of Science in Education with a concentration in Human Development and Psychological Services.  Chelsea was born in Buffalo, New York, but has lived a variety of places including the Bay Area, Pittsburgh (PA),  Port Jefferson Station (NY), Boston (MA), and St. Louis (MO).  Chelsea has enjoyed experiencing different cultural climates, but she is happy to have settled in California.

While in college, Chelsea participated in RUF at Northwestern by leading bible studies, baking treats for large group, and attending book discussions. During her junior year, she worked in the Human Resources center of Blue Cross Blue Shield Association as an intern coordinator.  During the school year, Chelsea worked at the front desk of a counseling center, The Family Institute, taught jewelry making classes, and managed a computer lab.  Some of her best memories were talking late at night with her roommates, seeing movies and exploring Chicago with friends, and hanging out with her jewelry making friends.

In her free time, Chelsea loves to explore and travel. She also loves the outdoors, creative arts (photography, jewelry making, painting, cooking, and crocheting), reading, movies (independent/drama as well as comedies and love stories), music, dancing, and endurance sports.

Most importantly, Chelsea loves people and would love to get to know you, so please feel free to email her at chelsea.plummer@ruf.org
